Referrals, Fees & Rebates

Referral For Hand Therapy

A referral is not required for private patients requiring Hand Therapy for common hand and upper limb conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow.

You will need a referral from your treating Doctor (GP or Specialist) or Allied Health Care Provider (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) to see one of our Hand Therapists for more complex interventions such as

  • Neurological conditions such as stroke or head injury
  • Fracture management involving cast removal or application

Referrals are also needed if you require Hand Therapy under the following insurance schemes

  • WorkCover
  • Department of Veteran’s Affairs
  • NDIS

Your referral will be reviewed and triaged by our team, and an appointment will be arranged for the relevant service such as in rooms Hand Therapy consultation with OT/PT (standard or extended length appointment), hospital and home visits.

NDIS

We offer Hand Therapy services to NDIS participants with a referral from a Doctor or Allied Health Care Provider (OT/PT). Please note we are not NDIS registered. Participants self managing their NDIS plan will need to pay for Hand Therapy services on the day. Participants with an NDIS plan manager can arrange for the invoices to be sent directly to their plan manager. In this case, we require written confirmation from your plan manager detailing (i) Manager’s name and contact details, (ii) Approval for Hand Therapy consultation fee and consumables and (iii) Address to which invoices should be sent.
